The Gschnitztal valley in summer

It's summer in the Gschnitztal valley. The alpine meadows are in full splendour, the peaks rise proudly above the valley, the forests are full of life. Streams ripple merrily along. Here and there you will find a mountain hut nestled into the hillside.

Through this quiet, gentle and unspoilt nature, 500 km of hiking trails lead to altitudes of over 3,000 m, as well as numerous mountain bike and climbing routes of all levels of difficulty. Here you spend your days on the move, enjoying the landscape around the Alpengasthof Hohe Burg in Trins and discovering new paths and opportunities every day.

Enjoy mountain by mountain.

Holidays in the mountaineering village of Gschnitztal

The beauty of summer in the Gschnitztal valley, part of the Tyrolean mountaineering villages, is easy to put into words: it is this tranquillity that awaits you here, and this pristine mountain world with its many appearances - from the gentle meadows in the valley to the dense forests and the expansive alpine meadows to the rocks of the peaks.

You will find a landscape here where there has been no major man-made intervention, where man and nature still live together. The result is not crowded hiking trails and huts, but rather a gentle world to look out for.

It is always an uplifting feeling to finally stand at the summit after a long climb. But it's also nice to reach a hut and take a restorative break. Standing by the mountain lake and gazing into the turquoise water. Or taking a leisurely stroll through larch forests and letting the tranquillity take its effect on you.

You can experience all of this with us in the Gschnitztal valley - right on the doorstep of the Alpengasthof Hohe Burg in Trins. Here you have more than 500 km of hiking trails open to you with all levels of difficulty, on which there are still no large parties of hikers.
