Skiing on a winter holiday

Skiing is always great fun, because who doesn't love whizzing down groomed slopes into the valley? Within a radius of 60 kilometres in the Innsbruck area in Tyrol and in Italy in South Tyrol, several popular ski resorts await you.

Just around the corner in Trins in the Gschnitztal valley, you can try your first turns at the family ski lift and really get into the swing of things. In the neighbouring municipality of Steinach am Brenner, you can enjoy a few more kilometres of slopes in the Bergeralm ski and leisure arena, including the steepest slope in Austria.

Bergeralm ski & leisure arena

The Bergeralm ski & leisure arena is a popular destination for skiing enthusiasts, as around 30 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes at all levels of difficulty await you here at altitudes of between 1,000 and 2,200 m, awarded the Tyrolean piste quality seal. In addition, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the snow-covered Wipptal valley and modern lifts for a comfortable and safe ascent.

Thanks to its manageable size, the ski area is cosy, familiar and scores points for its uncrowded slopes. With the world champion slope "Manni Pranger" with a maximum gradient of 46 degrees (102 %!), it also has a lot to offer people with sporting ambition. Three times a week, the floodlights are switched on and then nothing stands in the way of night-time skiing fun!
